Nearly 50 of us joined together for a weekend of fun and fellowship in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands. We had no agenda and no idea what was going to happen but that we were going to enjoy fellowshipping with each other and with Jesus.
We were not disappointed!
We were joined by Ed and Linda Straw who were in the process of emigrating from Zambia to Australia. They are old friends who spent a number of years in Ladysmith and were the first principals of Harvest High. We enjoyed seeing them and their children - David, Michaela, Hanna and Andrew. They are now safe in Australia, atarting their new lives. We are praying for them.
John and Cicely Lenton joined us from Harare Zimbabwe. I connected with them while in Ireland and we have become friends. It is not diffiult to be the friends of these wonderful people who had an impact on all of our lives.
Guy and Jackie Dennison joined us from Gauteng. I also met them in Ireland. If you are in South Africa and you got hold of the book "Custom and Command" you probably got it from them. They are the kind of people whom you get to love and want to spend time with - we believe we will do that in future.
Johan Boot connected with me on the internet. He has also done what we did with a church he and his wife planted in the township of Atlantis in Cape Town area and could minister to all of us from much experience and a deep relationship with the Father.
Peter Hambidge from "Melusi" (former Maheyno Mission) in Dundee also joined us. We have been building a close relationship for a couple of years and it was really good to have Peter with us. His participation was really meaningful.
The rest of the crowd were locals from all over Natal - just as important as those mentioned. We all participated in telling our stories and from that flowed some of the most beautiful discussion and ministry we have had in a loooong time.
